Born in Macclesfield in 1985, Helen Marten is a young promising artist recognised for her inventive way to mix seemingly unrelated words, images and everyday objects in her enigmatic works of sculpture, video and installation which splice abstract concepts with an acute sense of materiality. Marten is the winner of Turner Prize 2016. Her works are in the collections of many prestigious institutions, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and have been featured in exhibitions worldwide, including The 56^th Venice Biennale.
