Dong Zhong
Dong Zhong (b.1969 in Guiyang, China) graduated from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in Mural Painting in 1992. Dong has been the Founder and Director of Urban Parts Contemporary Artists in Guiyang and Vice Chairman of Guiyang Artists’ Association since 2006.
Dong’s works are recently presented in solo and group exhibitions including Voice of the Unseen/Chinese Independent Art – A Collateral Event for the 55th La Biennale di Venezia (Venice, Italy) and Dong Zhong Dong Zhong – Solo Exhibition (Huafu Art Space, Shanghai, 2013) First Round of The Fourth Guangzhou Triennial Project Exhibition (Guangdong Museum of Art, Guangzhou, 2012) and Extrication (Today Art Museum, Beijing, 2009).
Dong’s works are widely collected by the China Art Museum (Shanghai), Guangdong Museum of Art, Guan Shanyue Art Museum (Shenzhen), Yuz Foundation (Indonesia), SooBin Art Int’l (Singapore) and ABN-AMRO Bank (Netherlands).
